Using this theory and case study as a guide students review in advance, provide students with a lifespan timeline sheet. Have them document their top 10 life events that have shaped their outcomes up to their current timeframe. Have them detail these events in 2-3 sentences on a separate sheet. Make note that students should only disclose information that they feel comfortable in discussing with classmates and their professor. After completion of activity outside of class, lead class in noting commonalities that occurred during different stages of life, i.e., childhood, adolescence, etc., as well as major differences. |
